Founded in 1958 as Huaiyin Industrial College, Huayin Institute of Technology has evolved significantly over the years. In 2000, it merged with several other institutions to form the current Huayin Institute of Technology, aimed at meeting the national strategic needs as well as regional economic and social developments. The university offers a wide array of academic programs, specializing in various disciplines such as engineering, management, and sciences, with a strong emphasis on undergraduate and master's degree programs. The university is dedicated to fostering international partnerships with 22 countries and regions. Collaborations with institutions like VAMK University and the University of Lorraine enhance the educational experience for students. With a sprawling campus of 2200 acres and over 730,000 square meters of building area, the university provides ample resources and facilities for its diverse student body. The Huayin Institute boasts a population of 24,000 students, along with 2000 faculty members who are committed to delivering high-quality education and support.
