Yangzhou University (YZU) is a joint project of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government and the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is a major comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province and one of the first to provide master’s and doctorate degrees. YZU’s origins can be traced back to 1902, when its predecessors, Tongzhou Private Teachers’ School and Tonghai Agricultural School, were founded.Yangzhou University provides a wide range of facilities — libraries with rich collections of scholarly resources, advanced laboratories, and well-serviced dormitories among other accommodations. All these bring much convenience to both students and teachers who study, work, and live on campus.YZU was the winner of the Second Prize of National Award in Teaching as well as the Special Award in Teaching in Higher Education in Jiangsu.
