Founded in 1948, the Kongju National University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the small city of Gongju (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South Chungcheong. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Kongju National University (KNU) is a coeducational South Korean higher education institution.
