Guangxi Medical University

Guangxi Medical University was founded on November 21 , 1934. It is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is one of the 22 earliest medical schools in China , one of the earliest medical schools in China to recruit international students, students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students , and one of the first 30 universities approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit undergraduate clinical medicine majors ( taught in English ) for international students . After nearly a century of development, it has become the center of medical education, medical research, clinical medicine and preventive health care in Guangxi, and has successively provided more than 200,000 high-quality and high-level medical talents to Guangxi, China and even all over the world . In May 2020 , Guangxi Medical University became a university jointly established by the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and the National Health Commission . In 2021 , it became a university that was key supported by the Party Committee and Government of the Autonomous Region to build a first-class university of its kind in China.  As of July 2023 , the school has more than 2,000 full-time teachers and more than 30,000 full -time students from all over China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and 32 countries and regions overseas.
