Through the internationalization project of the economic major, more than half of the freshmen in 2016 (referring to Korean students) will receive entrusted education in Chinese universities. Hannan University began exchanges and cooperation with the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing in 1996. It was the first in Korea to implement the 3+1 teaching system of three years at Hannan University and one year at a designated Chinese sister university. That is to say, in the first three years, local Chinese professors are invited to teach, and all students have one year to study abroad at a sister university in China. Through this system, there are currently more than 800 students studying at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, Xiamen University in Xiamen (Fujian Province), Northwest University and Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xi'an, Yunnan University in Kunming, and Beijing Communication University has received commissioned education. In addition, we have set up a combined master's program at the University of International Business and Economics, which ranks first in the field of international economics and trade, and can be completed in one and a half years (3+1+1.5). In addition, experts from Yunnan University are invited through the Korea-China International Exchange Center to regularly carry out intensive Chinese courses for students after class. The economics major’s education courses are not only about vocabulary skills, but also have more than half of the courses about China’s economy, society, culture, politics, etc., which are courses that truly cultivate China masters. Through studying abroad in China, students will develop their information processing and analysis abilities, with the goal of cultivating and delivering Chinese experts with international business capabilities.
