2. Prepare the required documents

Before you start the application for CSC Scholarship 2025, make sure you have a copy of the following documents in hand. 

• Application form
• Highest degree and transcript (may require a notary approval)
• Two recommendation letters (For Master’s and PhD programs)
• Study Plan/ Research Proposal
• Physical examination certificate
• Financial statement
• Police clearance certificate

• Start the online application at the CSC portal account where you can apply to three universities. 
• Fill in your personal information. 
• Choose the Category of Scholarship (A, B, or C). 
• Select the University Agency Number (either provided by the university or can be easily found on the internet).
• Fill in all other required information and attach the mandatory documents. 
• Submit the online application. Make sure to download the application in case of future needs.  
• Check if the university of your choice requires you to submit a different application. If yes, apply at the university’s website and attach the CSC scholarship application during submission. 
• Pay the university-specific application fee. 
• Make sure you have a physical copy of documents ready if the university requires you to send one to their address. 

4. Result publication 

The result for the CSC Scholarship is typically published in the CSC portal within two months after the application deadline. If you are selected, you will be notified via email.  You may also be notified by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your home country regarding the selection. Additionally, you will receive an official Letter of Award from the Chinese Ministry of Education, which requires your acceptance to secure the scholarship. To formalize this acceptance, you will be required to fill out and submit the acceptance form.

5. Apply for a student visa and prepare for departure 

After the acceptance form has been processed, you will receive the Visa Application Form. Once you have gathered the Visa Application Form along with other necessary supporting documents, it's time to initiate the application for the student visa (JW202). Submit these documents to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your home country to proceed with the visa application. Upon the issuance of the student visa, it is now the time to make preparations for your upcoming departure.
