Suzhou University is located in Suzhou, a famous historical and cultural city known as "paradise on earth". It is a national "double first-class" construction university and one of the first universities listed in the "211 Project" and "2011 Plan". It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province, the National Defense Science and Industry Bureau and Jiangsu Province, and also a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. The university now has 30 colleges (departments), 132 undergraduate majors, 49 first level discipline master programs, 33 professional degree master programs, 28 first level discipline doctor programs, 1 professional degree doctor program, and 30 post doctoral mobile stations.
