Ningbo University of Technology (NBUT) is a full time undergraduate university and master's degree conferring unit approved by the Ministry of Education. It is jointly founded by Zhejiang Provincial government and Ningbo municipal government. NBUT covers an area of 1,200,000 sq m., and comprises Fenghua Campus, Cuibai Campus and Qianwan campus. The Universitys' 19 subordinate schools teach 48 undergraduate programs in 24 first level disciplines. Out of its 1241 teaching and administrative staff, 978 are full time teachers among whom 428 have professorship and associate professorship and 465 have doctrate degrees. There are more than 15,000 full time undergraduate students in NBUT. In 2010, the university was included as the first batch of universdities in the "Outstanding Engineer Program" by Chinese Ministry of Education. In 2014, it became Vhair of the Collegiate Union of Application-oriented Universities in Yangtze River Delta. In 2015, it was listed as the Applied Construction Pilot Universities of Zhejhang Province. In 2016, it was selected for Univerisites of National project for integrated development of industry and education. In 2020, it ranks 297th in the main list of China University Rankings. In 2021, it is selected as the reserve college of national education power promotion project during the 14th Five Year Plan period.
