Nanjing Normal University is a national "double first-class" university and a high-level university in Jiangsu Province. It is also one of the birthplaces of higher normal education in China. A large number of high-quality teachers teach here. Suiyuan Campus has the reputation of "the most beautiful campus in the East". At present, the university has one national "double first-class" construction discipline (geography), nine national key and cultivation disciplines, and six disciplines have been selected into the fourth round of national discipline evaluation of category A disciplines. The number of category A disciplines ranks the first among local universities in China, the 34th among national universities, and nine disciplines rank among the top 1% of the global ESI. The university is striving to build a "high-level university with international influence".
